ERICKA J COULTER
Grammy nominated songwriter, Ericka J. Coulter is a visionary with the unyielding determination to mark the music industry with sustainable writing and seamless integration of music. Ericka moved from Kansas City, Kansas in 2004, college bound, with a dream and a vision. In 2008, she was hired at Interscope Records working for Step Johnson the former president of Urban Music as his executive assistant.
During her position at Interscope she knew in order to move forward in her career and fast she had to take advantage of the great opportunity in front of her. So in the middle of answering phones, she would write songs at her desk. Gaining the liking from Ron Fair, Ericka was then able to work with El Debarge and Faith Evans creating the record “Lay with You” which reached #1 at Urban AC radio. The doors continued to open giving Ericka the chance to work with artist such as KeKe Palmer, Mindless Behavior Evan Ross, Tamar Braxton and many others.
Ericka’s talent and capabilities have since allowed her to capitalize on the music and business background of the industry. The experience and exposure she garnered allowed her to network with industry professionals which were genuinely interested in helping propel her career. Ericka’s creativity as a songwriter and music executive, allowed her to cross paths in television and film creating the theme song for the Sony pictures, Hotel Transylvania Sequel, “I’m In Love With A Monster,” which was performed by Fifth Harmony,
