Fast-rising country singer and songwriter Brett Kissel, who recently eclipsed Taylor Swift's milestone record at Canadian country radio for most adds in one week with his debut single "Started With A Song," will emcee ole's popular Saloon Jam event which closes out the Canadian Country Music Association's (CCMA) 36th annual Country Music Week in Edmonton, Alberta on Sunday, September 8.

This is the 9th year that ole has hosted Saloon Jam, the exclusive, invite only post-CCMA Awards celebration, which has become a Canadian Country Music Week tradition. After a busy week of events, the award show itself and the constant glare of the media spotlight, Saloon Jam has proven in past years to be a desired venue for artists to let their hair down in the spirit of impromptu musical collaboration and performance.

Saloon Jam emcee Brett Kissel, the youngest nominee in the history of the CCMA Awards, has spent the summer months travelling more than 25,000 kilometers to eight provinces to spread the word about his current hit single, "Started With A Song," the title track of his forthcoming debut album for Warner Music Canada. Prior to his arrival in Edmonton for Saloon Jam, the 23-year-old native of Flat Rock, Alberta, wraps his extensive summer tour on August 31 as the headliner at the 168th annual Perth Fair in Perth, Ontario.

The 2013 CCMA Awards, at which ole is associated with 25 nominations including Music Publishing Company of the Year, a category in which the company has been honored for the past six years, will be broadcast live from Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta on Sunday, September 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET (8:30 NT) on CBC-TV, with encore airings on CMT (Canada) starting at 10:00 p.m. ET.
