Since signing to ole in 2013, Matt Rogers landed country star Randy Houser's hit sing "We Went" and cuts with Dustin Lynch, Thompson Square, JT Hodges and Adam Craig. Rogers also had a Canadian top 20 single on Wes Mack (“Our Soundtrack”).
In 2011, Rogers and long-time co-writing partner, Chris Weaver, scored a cut with American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks. The song, “You Gotta Want It,” is featured on Official Gameday Music of the NFL, Volume II, and Official LSU Music: Geaux Tigers. In addition, he penned seven tracks on Weaver’s sophomore release, American Dreamer, produced by Nashville powerhouse, Josh Leo. Rogers also co-wrote the IBMA Song of the Year nominee, “Coal Minin’ Man,” by two-time ICM Vocal Duo of the Year recipients, The Roys.
But music isn’t Rogers’ sole passion. With a bachelor’s degree in writing from Misericordia University in Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree from the esteemed S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in New York, Rogers has proven that his writing aptitude spans far beyond song lyrics.
